Scurvy, Sarcasm and Tainted Blood

Many mammals have highly functional noses, but their facial expressions are limited. However, some primates evolved a simplified nose, classifying them into the suborder Haplorhini. This simplified nose enabled them to express a wider range of emotions — making faces, sticking out their tongues in mockery, and more. In this process, they lost the ability to synthesize vitamin C and became dependent on dietary intake. Scurvy — this was the price they paid for sarcasm.

Scurvy causes decreased red blood cells. Some say that immigrants have ‘tainted’ the blood of America. Perhaps this ‘contamination’ refers to the gift bestowed upon humanity by primates — the ability to precisely mock the MAGA ignorance. On the scales of evolution, primates decisively chose sarcasm over self-sufficient vitamin C
